giving back

Good health comes in many different forms. Sure, healthy eating is part of the equation, but healthy communities require additional building blocks, like supporting education, curing diseases and simply taking care of our neighbors. That’s why we concentrate on these areas through programs that help us grow stronger.

improving the lives of children

Healthy communities start with healthy kids. We help local schools through our annual A+ School Rewards program and also get in the game by supporting kids’ athletics. In partnership with community leaders, our Healthy Kids Summits educate kids and their families on the importance of nutrition, physical activity and a balanced lifestyle.

2014 retailer of the year

In 2014, we were able to donate $67 million to local organizations. Thanks to our associates, vendors and customers, we were able to stay committed to fighting hunger, improving the lives of children, and building healthy communities. Because of this hard work and generosity, we have been presented with the 2014 Retailer of the Year by Progressive Grocer.

We could not have done it without all of your help. Read more about this honor and what we are doing in our communities here.
