GIANT FOOD ALERTS CUSTOMERS TO VOLUNTARY RECALL OF I.M. HEALTHY ORIGINAL CREAMY SOYNUT BUTTER
Landover, Md. (March 4, 2017) - Following a recall by The SoyNut Butter Co., Giant Food, LLC announced it has removed from stores I.M. Healthy Original Creamy SoyNut Butter that is potentially linked to an outbreak of E. coli O157:H7.
The following product is included in this recall:
- I.M. Healthy Creamy SoyNut Butter, UPC 65498991010 with Best by Dates of 8/30/18 & 8/31/18
Although most strains of E. coli are harmless, others can cause illness. E. coli O157:H7 is a bacterium that can cause bloody diarrhea. Seniors, the very young, and persons with compromised immune systems are the most susceptible to foodborne illness.
Customers who have purchased this product should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund.
