Giant sources all flowers from farms whose stated goal is to help producers in developing countries achieve better trading conditions and to promote sustainability. Giant’s shrimp primavera is an easy dish that goes from kitchen to table in less than an hour. To spice things up this Valentine’s Day, add in cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
- 1 Tbsp Giant canola or olive oil
- 1 Tbsp fresh garlic, crushed
- 1 medium yellow onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 large green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 14 oz. Giant can diced tomatoes
- 6 oz. can Giant tomato paste, mixed w/ 1 cup water
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ¼ tsp dry oregano
- 1 dash cayenne pepper or hot sauce
- 1 dash black pepper
- 1 lb. fully cooked Giant shrimp, peeled
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 12 oz. Giant pasta (spaghetti, linguine or small shells)
- Heat the oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and cook one minute. Add green pepper and sauté until tender-crisp, about 2 minutes. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings. Stir well and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to directions. When pasta is almost done, add cooked and peeled shrimp to the sauce just to heat through but do not overcook. Squeeze lemon juice and stir in. Ladle shrimp and sauce over pasta.
