Giant Food Celebrates Grand Opening of Cathedral Commons Store
The Cathedral Commons Giant Food located at 3336 Wisconsin Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. celebrated its grand opening Thursday, November 6th with elected officials, community members, Giant associates, and shoppers. The Cathedral Commons Giant Food features an array of amenities, including an expansive produce department with a smoothie bar, a fresh cut fruit and vegetable preparation center, an expanded selection of natural and organic foods, a sandwich service center, a gourmet cheese island, and fresh prepared sushi. An in-store wine and beer bar and a Starbucks café with complementary Wi-Fi and convenient seating is available for customers to purchase beverages while they shop. Other store amenities include a floral counter, a PNC bank, a two-level parking garage, and SCAN IT! Technology, which allows customers to use a handheld device to scan and bag their groceries while they shop.
