Giant Food Launches New Prescription Savings Card

Provides prescription and health care-related savings for you and your family at all Giant pharmacies

Landover, Md. (May 28, 2013) – Giant Food of Landover, Md. is making it easier for customers and their families to receive instant savings on brand name and generic prescriptions with the launch of the Giant Prescription Savings Card. The card is not insurance, but offers discounts for prescriptions and personalized savings throughout the store on products you need to stay healthy.

“We are committed to meeting our customers’ health and wellness needs while offering outstanding value,” said Gayle Shields, director of pharmacy operations, Giant Food of Landover, Md. “The Giant Prescription Savings Card will enable loyal customers to purchase the high quality prescriptions and pet medications they need at a fraction of the price.”

The Giant Prescription Savings Card is used for any prescriptions that a customer pays for out-of pocket. If you have health insurance coverage, use your Prescription Savings Card for any prescriptions that are not covered by your insurance. A one-time enrollment fee of $10 per household is required to receive a Giant Prescription Savings Card. As a thank you for joining, customers will receive $10 off a future grocery purchase.

With the Giant Prescription Savings Card, customers can save on many brand name and generic prescriptions as well as pet medications. Cardholders will pay $3.99 for a 30-day supply and $9.99 for a 90-day supply of select generic medications. Additional pharmacy savings will be offered to customers with the Giant Prescription Savings Card during select months throughout the year, including savings on flu shots and diabetes testing supplies.
