- For the glaze, in a small saucepan over medium heat combine preserves, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and 1 tablespoon water; cook and stir just until butter melts. Set aside.
- Preheat grill to medium (300°F–350°F). Thread fruit and cake alternately on 12-inch skewers. Brush with glaze.
- Place skewers on grill 5 inches from heat. Grill 7 minutes, turning once. Brush with glaze. Serve skewers with remaining glaze.
*If using wooden skewers, soak at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
