Directions for Use: For Deep Frying Seafood: 1) Preheat shortening to 375°F. 2) Moisten fish with water or milk, draining off excess. Frozen fish need only be thawed and drained. 3) Roll seafood in Breading Mix or if desired shake seafood and Breading Mix together in a paper or plastic bag until seafood is evenly coated. 4) Place seafood in hot shortening and fry 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. For Pan Frying Seafood: Coat seafood the same as for Deep Frying. Fry in approximately 1/4" of hot (375°F) oil or shortening until each side is golden brown. Oven Fry: Coat fish the same as for deep frying. In shallow pan, pour just enough oil to cover the bottom. Place the breaded fish in the pan, turning to lightly coat both sides with oil. Bake 10-20 minutes at 400F, turning when half done. Bake time will depend on the thickness of fish. Make it Spicy! To 1 cup of Washington Seafood Breader, add 2 tsp of Red Pepper and 1 tsp of Black Pepper. Mix spices and seafood breader together with a wire ship until spices are uniformly blended. Coat seafood as directed and let the pieces stand for about 5 minutes. Fry as directed.
