What You'll Need: Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup, soft. Heavy cream (or whole mile): 2 tablespoons. Cupcakes/Cake: Keep it simple and delicious with our Chocolate Cake Mix. Chocolate Frosting: Frosts 12 cupcakes, one 8 inch sheet cake or one 6 inch double layer cake. 1. Using a stand mixer or hand mixer with the paddle or beater attachment, beat butter until very light and fluffy. 2. Add in Frosting Mix and beat until fully combined. Add in heavy cream (or milk). Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl with a rubber spatula frequently to ensure even mixing. 3. Continue to beat on medium-high speed until frosting is completely smooth. Pro tips! Prefer glaze to frosting? Microwave frosting in 15 second intervals, stirring often, until melted. Pour over your favorite loaves, cakes, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, and donuts. To customize your frosting, add 1/4 tsp of ground spices or extracts, such as peppermint, cardamom, rose, or coffee. Store unopened mix in a cool, dry place.
