No. 2 family owned & operated since 1945. No MSG. Not to get confused with J.O. No. 1, J.O. No. 2 is the crab seasoning of choice used by crab houses and crabbers up and down the East Coast. This blend was put together in 1945 by J.O. (James Ozzle Strigle) himself. Prior to spice manufacturing, J.O. was a waterman. He brought his industry knowledge to the spice business and created an iconic taste. J.O. No. 2's secret ingredients include a specific salt which is designed to adhere to the crab during the steaming process. Due to this specific salt, J.O. No. 2 is recommended for crabs only. If you have ever had crabs from a commercial establishment, chances are you've already tasted our great blend!
