Cooking directions: Simmer: for each 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of crinkle cut yellow squash, bring 1/4 cup water to a boil. Add vegetable and bring to second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of crinkle cut yellow squash in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 to 7 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave ovens: pour crinkle cut yellow squash in 1-1/2 quart microwave-safe dish. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Season to taste. Servings - 2 large - 5. Amount - 8 oz - 16 oz. Water - 1 tablespoon - 2 tablespoons. Cooking time* - 3 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 3 to 4 minutes - 4 minutes.
