This Birds Eye frozen side is made with no artificial flavors or colors and contains 4 grams of carbs per serving for a delicious and convenient way to enjoy vegetable dishes and frozen sides without compromise. Riced cauliflower can be used in recipes in place of rice or other cauliflower rice. Serve the steamed riced vegetable as side dishes along with your favorite grilled meat, or add to grain bowls, pasta dishes and salads as part of a main dish. Easily prepare the frozen riced cauliflower by steaming it in the bag for up to 9 minutes or by cooking on the stovetop for 14 to 16 minutes. Let stand for 1 to 2 minutes before serving. Lay flat when microwaving. For Food Safety & Quality: Keep frozen. Do not thaw. Microwave directions developed with 1100-watt microwave ovens. Appliances vary. Adjust cooking times as needed. Food must be cooked thoroughly to 165 degrees F. Microwave Oven: Cook only one bag at a time. 1. Place frozen, unopened bag this side up, laying flat in microwave. Do not pierce bag. For microwaves with a metal rack, remove rack. 2. Microwave on high 8-1/2 to 9 minutes. During cooking, the bag will slowly inflate. A special vent in the bag will allow the steam to escape and a whistling sound may be heard. 3. Let stand 1 minute. Carefully handle bag at corners marked with the light blue tabs and remove from microwave with two hands. Check that food is cooked thoroughly. Hold bag over serving dish. Tear bag at notch. Pour, stir and enjoy! Caution: Food will be hot. Stove Top: Cook only one bag at a time. 1. Empty frozen contents of bag into a medium saucepan. Add 1 cup water. 2. Cover and cook over medium-high heat 14 to 16 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Check that food is cooked thoroughly to 165 degrees F. Careful, it's hot! Strain, stir, and serve. Caution! Contents are hot. Handle with care. Weeknight Serving Suggestion: Fried Riced Cauliflower: Directions: Cook Riced Cauliflower according to package directions. Cook 1 package Birds Eye Steamfresh Mixed Vegetables according to package directions. In large nonstick skillet heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat and cook 1 lb. of thinly sliced chicken, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until golden brown and thoroughly cooked. Season, if desired, with salt and pepper. Add cooked cauliflower and stir frequently, 1 to 2 minutes or until toasted. Stir in cooked mixed vegetables. Heat through and serve.
