Suggested serving. 5 oz net wt. (141g). Cedar Bay Salmon is delicately seasoned, then hand placed onto a pre-soaked cedar plank – simply thaw, remove from packaging, and cook. Made in Canada from domestic and imported ingredients farm raised. We try to remove all bones, but traces may remain. Directions
Uncooked • Keep frozen. Preparation Instructions: DEFROST BEFORE COOKING. TO DEFROST: DO NOT OPEN THE VACUUM PACK. Defrost overnight in refrigerator (38°F) or submerge entire vacuum package in cold water until thawed (approx. 40 minutes, or until product is completely defrosted). REMOVE FROM PACKAGE by cutting with scissors around the vacuum pack. COOK PROMPTLY AFTER THAWING. BARBECUE: • Preheat BBO to med-high heat (approx. 425°F / 220°C). • Place the salmon and plank directly over the BBQ grill and close the cover for approximately 14-18 minutes, or until internal core temperature reaches 145°F / 63°C. • When cooking on the BBQ, have a spray bottle handy in case of flare-ups. CONVENTIONAL OVEN: • Preheat oven to 425°F / 220°C. • Place the salmon and plank directly on MIDDLE rack. • Bake for 14-18 minutes or until internal core temperature reaches 145°F / 63°C. Ovens and grills vary; cooking times may need to be adjusted. Already on the plank! DO NOT OVERCOOK. Salmon is cooked when flesh becomes flakey. Salmon is perfectly cooked when it is still slightly pink in the center of the fillet. Remove immediately from cooking source. Product will continue to cook after you remove from the grill. Salmon will easily come off the plank when serving. Do not reuse the plank.
