Cooking Instructions: To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking. Stove Top: In a saucepan, combine 2 cups water and 1 cup rice (optional: add 1 tablespoon butter or margarine and 1 teaspoon salt). Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover tightly and simmer 15-20 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Microwave: Combine 2 1/4 cups water and 1 cup rice in a microwave-safe container (optional: add 1 tablespoon butter or margarine and 1 teaspoon salt). Cover and cook on high (100%) power 5 minutes. Continue to cook on medium (50%) power for 15 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Remove from microwave and let stand covered for 5 minutes. Uncover and fluff with a fork.
