Cooking Instructions: 1. Bring 4 quarts of water to a rapid boil. If desired, add 2 teaspoons of salt. 2. Gradually add pasta to boiling water. Stir gently and return to a rapid boil. 3. Cook uncovered, stirring frequently for 10-12 minutes. 4. Drain. Serve immediately after draining. Ingredients: 1 package ziti Rigati, uncooked. 1 tbsp olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped. 3-1/4 cups (29 oz. Can) crushed tomatoes. 1 cup coarsely chopped pitted ripe olives. 2. Tbsp capers (optional). 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp dried. Basil leaves. 1/2 to 1 tsp crushed dried red pepper. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided. Preparation instructions: 1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. 2. Cook garlic until golden, about 1 minute; do not burn. Add tomatoes, olives, capers, basil, red pepper and salt. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Toss hot pasta, sauce and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
