Osem Tri-Color Israeli (Pearl) Couscous is a very versatile pasta uniquely toasted in an open flame oven, which allows it to absorb liquids while remaining al-dente. It makes a perfect side dish to meat, poultry or fish. It is also delicious as a main course mixed with vegetables or with your favorite pasta sauce. Osem Tri-Color Israeli (Pearl) Couscous is also great as a cold pasta salad.
Toasted Pasta with Spinach Powder and Paprika Extract Ingredients: Wheat Flour (contains gluten), Colours (Dehydrated spinach, Paprika extract). for allergens see ingredients in Bold. May contain Soy. Directions: Add 1-1/4 cups of boiling water to 1 cup of Osem Israeli Couscous. Cover pot and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add salt to taste. Osem Tri-Color Israeli (pearl) Couscous Mediterranean style for 4 servings: Ingredients: Osem Tri-Color Israeli Couscous - 1 cup, Olive oil - 2 tbls, Chopped onions - 1/2 cup, Chopped green or red pepper - 1/2 cup, Chopped spinach - 1/2 cup, Diced tomatoes - 1/2 cup, Chopped garlic - 1 tbls, Chicken or vegetable stock - 2 cups, Sliced black olives - 1/4 cup, Chopped fresh basil - 1/4 cup, Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup. Directions: Heat the olive oil in a small pan. Gently cook the chopped onions, peppers, spinach and diced tomatoes in the pan for 2-3 minutes or until soft. Add the Osem Tri-Color Israeli (Pearl) Couscous, stir well. Add chopped garlic and cover with 2 cups of hot chicken stock, vegetable stock or water. Season to taste. Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. When finished, stir in the sliced black olives and garnish with freshly chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Serving Suggestion: Saute one small chopped onion in olive oil until golden brown. Add 1 cup of Osem Israeli (pearl) Couscous and stir well. Add salt, pepper, chopped parsley and other spices according to taste. Add 1-1/4 cups of boiling water or broth. Cover pot and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
