Keep under refrigeration for better product life. Directions: no need to drain or rinse for a tangy, salty flavor. For a milder flavor, place sauerkraut in a mesh strainer and drain liquid. Rinse sauerkraut with cold water, tossing and mixing to remove brine. May be served cold or hot. Stovetop: place sauerkraut with its juice into a skillet or saucepan. If drained and rinsed, add water to barely cover. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot. Microwave: place sauerkraut with its juice in a microwave-safe dish with cover. If drained and rinsed, add water to barely cover. Heat on high power for 1 minute at a time until hot, stirring between heating to cook evenly.
